Effective Date: November 23, 2025
LED Atmosphere ("we," "us," or "our") is firmly committed to respecting and protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy ("Policy") provides a comprehensive explanation of how LED Atmosphere, a mobile application designed for creating ambient lighting effects and LED simulations (the "App"), handles any information that may be collected, used, disclosed, or otherwise processed in connection with your use of the App. By downloading, installing, accessing, or otherwise using the App, you expressly agree to the collection, use, and disclosure practices described in this Policy.
This Policy applies only to the App and does not extend to any third-party applications, websites, services, or platforms that may be linked to, integrated with, or accessible from the App. We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or technological advancements. Any material modifications will be posted here, and your continued use of the App after such updates will constitute your acceptance of the revised Policy. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
LED Atmosphere is developed and operated by LED Atmosphere LLC, a limited liability company organized and existing under the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Our privacy practices are designed to comply with applicable data protection laws, including, without limitation, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for users in the European Economic Area, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and similar regulations in other jurisdictions such as the United Kingdom's UK GDPR and Brazil's Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD).
At the core of LED Atmosphere's design is a strong emphasis on user privacy and minimal data intrusion. We do not collect, store, process, transmit, or access any personally identifiable information (PII) or sensitive user data whatsoever. This commitment ensures that your experience with ambient lighting simulations remains entirely private and unmonitored. Specifically, we do not gather or retain:
All core functionalities of the App, such as generating LED atmosphere effects, color cycling, and mood lighting presets, operate entirely locally on your device. No data is uploaded to our servers, and we maintain no databases, logs, or tracking mechanisms capable of associating activities with individual users. This local-only processing model guarantees that your lighting experiments and ambient setups stay confined to your personal device.
To ensure the App runs smoothly, diagnose technical issues, and enable ad-supported features, LED Atmosphere may automatically collect limited, anonymized, and non-personal data. This information is aggregated, de-identified, and used solely for operational purposes without any linkage to specific users or devices. It is never retained beyond what is necessary for these functions. Examples of such automatically collected data include:
This data is processed pseudonymously where required by law and is purged immediately after analysis. We do not employ cookies, web beacons, or similar tracking technologies in the App, and all collections are opt-outable via device-level settings.
LED Atmosphere incorporates a minimal set of trusted third-party software development kits (SDKs) to support essential non-core functions like crash reporting, basic analytics, and advertising. These SDKs operate independently of our systems and are subject to their own privacy policies, over which we have no control or access. We transmit only anonymized, non-PII data to these providers. The primary SDKs integrated are:
No additional third-party services are embedded in the App, such as social media sharing tools, cloud backup providers, external analytics platforms (e.g., no Amplitude, Mixpanel, or Google Analytics beyond Firebase), or device permission brokers. Users can globally disable personalized ad tracking through their device's operating system settings: on Android, via "Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization"; on iOS, via "Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising > Personalized Ads." We respect these choices and do not circumvent them.
As a free application, LED Atmosphere relies on advertising to fund ongoing development, updates, and maintenance. Ads are integrated thoughtfully to enhance rather than interrupt the serene ambient experience, appearing only in non-intrusive locations such as a subtle banner during idle screens or a skippable interstitial after extended sessions. All advertisements are delivered through the aforementioned Google AdMob and Meta Audience Network platforms.
Our goal is to balance sustainability with user tranquility, ensuring ads feel like gentle enhancements to your atmosphere rather than intrusions.
Given that LED Atmosphere collects no PII or user-linked data, formal retention schedules are not applicable on our end. Any ephemeral, anonymized data handled by third-party SDKs follows their respective guidelines:
All data transmissions employ robust security measures, including Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.3 for encryption in transit and Advanced Encryption Standard (AES-256) for any at-rest storage in SDK caches. We perform regular security audits, vulnerability scans, and SDK updates in line with standards like ISO/IEC 27001 and SOC 2. Although we strive for utmost protection, no digital system is entirely risk-free; we recommend enabling device-level security features such as biometric locks and automatic updates. In the unlikely event of a data incident, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities without undue delay, as mandated by laws like GDPR (within 72 hours) or CCPA.
LED Atmosphere is intended for general audiences and is suitable for users of all ages interested in creative lighting tools. However, it is not specifically directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in jurisdictions like the EU where higher thresholds apply). We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose any information from children, and the App requires no registration or data input that could inadvertently involve minors.
If we become aware that a child has interacted with the App in a way that may have generated data, we will immediately delete any such information and terminate the account or session if applicable. Parents or guardians who suspect their child has used the App are encouraged to contact us promptly. For compliance with COPPA, no verifiable parental consent mechanisms are implemented, as no PII is collected. In regions requiring heightened protections, such as the EU, we honor parental rights to access, correct, or delete data related to minors.
We empower users with full transparency and control over their privacy under applicable laws. Depending on your location, you may exercise the following rights regarding any data processed in connection with the App:
To exercise these rights, submit a verifiable request via the contact method below, including sufficient details for identification without compromising privacy. We will respond within one month (extendable to three months for complex cases) at no cost. California residents under CCPA/CPRA have additional rights, such as opting out of "sales" or "sharing" of personal information (which we do not engage in), verifiable via the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link if implemented. EU/UK users may lodge complaints with their local data protection authority if unsatisfied with our response.
LED Atmosphere users worldwide benefit from our U.S.-based operations, but data processed by Google and Meta SDKs may be transferred to or stored in the United States or other countries with varying privacy protections. For international transfers, we utilize approved mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, adequacy decisions, or binding corporate rules to ensure equivalent safeguards. Users in the EU/EEA, UK, or other restricted territories retain full GDPR-equivalent rights, and we conduct Transfer Impact Assessments (TIAs) as required.
This Policy may be revised to accommodate evolving practices, regulatory landscapes, or App enhancements. Minor updates will be reflected here immediately, while significant changes—such as new data practices—will be communicated via in-App notifications or prominent banners. The "Effective Date" at the top indicates the latest version. Your ongoing use of the App following changes signifies acceptance; if you disagree, please uninstall the App.
This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, excluding its choice-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from or related to this Policy or your use of the App will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wilmington, Delaware. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts. This Policy constitutes the entire understanding between you and us regarding privacy matters and supersedes any prior agreements.
